Co-founder
🌿 A Note from Asha: Could You Be Swara’s Co-Founder?
I didn’t start Swara because I wanted to run a fashion brand. I started it because I couldn’t unsee what I had witnessed during my Gandhi Fellowship. Talented women in rural India with no income, no dignity of choice, and no place in the economic story we were telling as a country.
Swara was my answer to that silence. A brand that stands for voice, value, and visibility. Since then, we’ve built something powerful!
-
A community of rural women artisans
-
Thousands of customers across continents
-
A new kind of fashion. More ethical, more slow, more meaningful.
-
An experiential learning program called CraftHER that connects global students with grassroots changemakers
And now, Swara is growing up. The vision is big:
-
To build India’s most loved ethical fashion brand,
-
To run a cultural tourism vertical that gives young people life-changing exposure,
-
To prove that working with women is not just impactful, it’s profitable!
I’m looking for someone to build Swara with me. Not just in a role, but as a co-founder. Not a hire, but a partner.
I’m the kind of person who sees ten new ideas a day. I love creating, experimenting, dreaming, fundraising, pitching, and finding new market white spaces. But what I need is someone who sees the tenth idea and says “Let’s take idea #2 and make it bulletproof.”
I need a person who:
-
Feels joy in making operations flow smoothly
-
Love the details. Who loves systems, dashboards, timelines, people management
-
Believes in running a tight ship, not just a beautiful one
-
Is not afraid to work in ambiguity but brings structure to chaos
-
Can take charge of running Swara day-to-day, building the engine
You might be someone who’s worked in scaling startups, operations, or consumer brands. Maybe you’ve built a team before, or maybe you’ve been waiting for your moment to lead one.
Either way, if you’re driven, thoughtful, resilient, kind, and excited about building a brand that means something, I’d love to hear from you.
This isn’t a job opening. This is an open door.
